Simone Biles
Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) is considered to be one of sport's best athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles was one of the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender to earn 4 gold medals. Biles also took home the title of world champion for all-around, three times in succession (2013-15). Biles along with her younger sister Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles as well as Nellie Biles their grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area), grew up there. Simone was first able to show the sport of gymnastics seriously as an infant during a school field trip at Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach for the following eleven years. Biles, who won gold and bronze medals at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 in vault and floor exercise prior to her first appearance in 2011 in the elite section of competition. In less than two years, she was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles stood out for her consistent performance, exuberant personality as well as the difficulty of her routines at all four events such as vaulting, uneven bars and the balance beam.
