Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. She has a father who is Nigerian as well as Swiss, while her mom is English. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14 years old. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was awarded. In her time at the school, she performed in a variety of stage productions like King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. She has appeared as guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. In the following film, she was the lead in Elisha in the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in the six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role in ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe played the lead role on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy released in 2008. Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe officially made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was eventually removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. Madekwe's departure from the series was confirmed in May 2013. After two years as a main character, she made a guest performance in the very first episode of season three. She starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and also he played an appearance with her on that TV show.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with her older brothers, Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's siblings, who are all sportsmen, played baseball during the summer and played hockey during winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. As a result, when she turned 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing after she started the Baby Ballet. Ashley competed in top-level divisions of tap, jazz hip hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe until she graduated in high school. She was crowned the top soloist awards at all of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
