Lisa Edelstein was an American actress who is best known as the star of Fox's House medical series. Raised in Wayne with a strict Jewish tradition, she moved in New York City at the age of eighteen to study theatre at Tisch School of Arts. She quickly became part of the scene of clubs in New York. The performances she gave were so impressive that the local press noticed. She used both her training in music and fame to write and perform in a brand new musical called Positive Me. Awake on the Wild Side was her next job. When the show ended it was time to join the film and television productions. The first time she worked, she was able to get small parts and established herself gradually as an actress.
